4-year term
Jim and his wife Renee are long-time residents of East Lyme and are the parents of two sons, Evan and Nolan. Jim is currently an Alternate Member of the East Lyme Zoning Commission and is seeking to again be a Member of the Commission, a role he served from 2010-2021.
Jim is a Manager of Clinical Engineering at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is a former Armyaviation Crew Chief, specifically on the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. He retired after serving 26 years with the Army, including completing multiple overseas assignments and two combat deployments.
Jim received his Bachelor of Applied Science (BA. Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut—Avery Point. He also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Springfield Technical Community College.
Jim would like to use his extensive experience on our Zoning Commission as well as his management skills acquired in the Army and in his civilian career to continue to address land use issues in Town. He looks forward to working with fellow members of the Zoning Commission to make sound land use decisions for East Lyme, in particular, as concerns responsible development.
When not working, Jim enjoys our beaches, boating, and East Lyme community events with his family. He kindly asks for your vote in this Fall’s election.
