Marc Peterson

Marc Peterson is a Republican running as an Alternate for the Zoning Commission.  He is a lifelong resident of East Lyme, and he has chosen to stay in this Town to raise his own family. Marc and his wife, Jodi, have 2 children, Zoe and Owen.

Marc has had a successful, 20-year career as a Correction Officer for the CT Department of Corrections.  Upon leaving the Department of Corrections, he obtained his mortgage license and is currently a mortgage banker for Total Mortgage.  

He has a lot of passion and pride for East Lyme. During the pandemic, Marc’s daughter, Zoe, was recognized for making masks for Town officials and hospital staff. He felt that this was a great way to help the Town and pay back heroes for their hard work during the pandemic. 

As this wonderful Town of East Lyme continues to grow and expand, Marc would like to be a vital part of the growth.  Sensible commercial and residential growth can be achieved when it conforms to the Town’s Zoning regulations, meets the requirements of other Town Boards and Commissions, and preserves East Lyme’s special features and charm.

Marc enjoys Town events, such as the Annual Light Parade, East Lyme Day, and the Memorial Day Parade.  He is a knowledgeable resident of the Town and would like to continue his commitment to the East Lyme community.
